How to Apply for a Brazilian Passport



Go to Brazil
1) Get your Passport

*If you expedite your passport, you should receive it in about 2 weeks
If you don't expedite it, it can take 3 months or more.

Make the check out to "U.S. Department of State"

You need to bring:

• Birth Certificate
• Social Security Card
• Picture ID
• Fees

$75.00 - Expedite (optional)*
$15.00 - Passport Photo
$5.00 - Mail the form

2) Buy your Ticket

Must be a 2 way or round trip ticket only
Must be No further that 3 months away
You can't buy a ticket that is 4 months away, but you can buy one that is one month away.
It takes about 3 weeks to get your Brazilian Visa.

3) Get your Brazilian Visa

You must apply in person at the Brazilian Consulate,
or have a Broker apply in person for you.
The nearest Consulate is in San Diego


• Apply for a Tourism Visa
• It's good to have an address of someone who lives in Brazil.

1. U.S. Passport (Minimum of 6 months validity)
2. One passport size photo (we can take for $10.00)
3. One completed and signed application form
4. Copy of roundtrip tickets or itinerary
5. Copy of drivers license
